I help churches, charities and businesses communicate with clarity and creativity

Hi, I’m Mark,

I spent eleven years at Apple as a Creative Trainer, helping people get the best out of their technology and making complex things feel simple. Alongside that, I spent seven years leading communications and creative ministry in churches across the Diocese of Liverpool, and I now serve on the leadership team at my own church.

That mix means I understand what it’s like to work with limited time, busy teams and a message that really matters. Whether you’re a church, a charity or a values-led business, I’ll help you tell your story well and reach the people you’re here for.

One creative partner, from start to finish

Most organisations I work with don’t have a communications team. They have a few busy people, a long to-do list and a sense that their story could be told better. I bring strategy, brand, film, design, photography and websites together, so you work with one person who sees the whole picture.

How I work

Plain-speaking

My years at Apple taught me to explain things simply and leave people more confident than I found them. No jargon, and no dependence on me.

Practical

I plan around what your team can realistically keep up, week after week.

Purpose first

Before we make anything, we start with who you’re trying to reach and why it matters.

Why I do this

When I’m not helping churches, charities and businesses tell their story, you’ll usually find me with my wife, Sarah, and our three girls. They’re the team behind wilks.digital, and family is a pretty big part of why I do what I do.

It’s shaped the way I think about people and communication, and why I care about making things that genuinely connect, not just things that look good.

"Mark has been such a gift to work with. He really quickly got under the skin of what we were trying to achieve, stretched our thinking and gave us more than we knew we needed."
